Meet Dr. Wilson
My grandmother’s name is Vera.
My earliest memory of my grandmother is listening to her give advice to her friends and family. I grew up believing my grandmother had ALL the answers no matter what the questions.
Fast forward to 2020 when I decided it was time to start my own consulting business. I was mesmerized by how my grandmother readily provided answers. Ask Vera Consultants was born for those memories to last as it is the place where questions are answered.
Who is Dr. Alisa Wilson?
I used to “teach” in my bedroom as a child. The graded papers from my first-grade class were my students. When I took baths, the bubbles in my tub water were my students. I seriously taught my students beginning with taking attendance and providing discipline. It was normal for me to give snacks out and candy. I stressed the importance of learning to my students.
I was born to teach.
Today, I teach undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Tennessee at Martin. I substitute teach to stay connected with current K-12 learning environments. My passion is sharing knowledge and experiences with student, families, and schools. As founder of Ask Vera Consultants, I invite you to lean on us for we are steady and strong.
